Thoughts On The Cobra Ultralight Sunday Golf Bag
The Cobra Ultralight Sunday Golf Bag is a great product for many golfers. There are those that want to walk a course but just can’t carry the weight of their clubs. It is great for youth golfers that often don’t carry a full bag of 14 clubs when they play. Even if you are only a Par-3 course golfer and only need to carry 4 or 5 clubs.
Aside from the groups of golfers that can utilize it, I think this bag is a flashy version of the traditional sunday bags. Cobra makes great products so I know it is a quality. The light weight combined with the pads for your back and shoulder straps make it comfortable and it is big enough to carry enough clubs for 18 holes. I personally carry my bags just fine but I can see myself utilizing one of these Cobra Ultralight Sunday Golf Bags in the future.
The number of 5-star ratings this bag has recieved would make me very comfortable buying this product.

The History Of Sunday Golf Bags
A Sunday bag is a type of no-frills, lightweight golf bag. So you want to go golfing, and you want to walk the course, but you do not want to carry a large or hefty bag. Then you are going to need a Sunday bag. A “Sunday bag” is a type of golf bag that ranges in size (in terms of bag top) and weight (in terms of weight) from the smallest (in terms of bag top) to the heaviest (in terms of weight) — a spectrum that runs from the large, heavy end to the “tour bags” or “staff bags” used by tour pros.
A Sunday bag is a carry bag, however it’s a lightweight carry bag with a very small top (in terms of diameter and circumference). Sunday bags are also simple in terms of features, with only a couple of conventional pockets and no frills.
Some golfers like to keep a variety of golf bags in the garage, a house closet, or even the trunk of their car. Those who retain a Sunday bag want it accessible for when the mood hits to hurry out to the golf course and walk nine or 18 holes with a golf bag that is easy to carry.
Traditional Sunday bags feature small tops, often as little as four to six inches across, and few, if any, club dividers. Some Sunday bags come with stand legs, but many don’t; they’re designed to be laid flat on the ground while the golfer is swinging or approaching the green.
Many are only two or three pounds before any clubs are added on the light end of the scale. (A “pencil bag” is a Sunday bag with a single, stiff support rod inside to provide some rigidity.)
There are several conflicting ideas, but one of the most frequently referenced concerns the early days of golf and religion. The more you go back in time, the more people followed the Sabbath, which means no labor on Sunday. Golfers were allowed to play on Sundays at certain early golf courses, but caddies were not allowed to work on Sundays. So if you wanted to play on Sunday, you had to bring your own sticks. The Sunday bag was born out of this need for a lighter, more compact golf bag, one that was often stocked with fewer clubs and less equipment overall (in part to save weight, and in part because the smaller bag didn’t fit as much).
What Is the Maximum Number of Clubs That Can Fit in a Sunday Bag?
The exact number of clubs you can fit inside a Sunday bag is determined by two factors: the size of the bag top and how much you are willing to struggle taking clubs out if the bag is overstuffed.
The grips down in the bottom of the bag may make getting the clubs out a hassle as the round progresses, but you can fit a full 14-club array inside the conventional 4- to 6-inch bag-top Sunday bags.
That’s why some golfers who carry a Sunday bag prefer to play with a shorter set, reducing their 14 clubs to just 6-8. However, many modern Sunday bag makers also provide no-fuss, bare-bones bags with slightly larger tops in the 7- or 8-inch range. These are more easily able to accommodate a full set of 14 clubs.
